Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate social responsibility, often referred to as corporate responsibility, is playing an increasingly important role in society. We at Mattes and Ammann recognized this very early on and demonstrated it externally through SA8000 certification from 2008 to 2025, i.e., for 17 years. However, it is not cheap to repeatedly subject this behavior, which we consider a matter of course, to external scrutiny. For a medium-sized company like ours, it is in our DNA, so to speak, to assume social responsibility and promote sustainable business practices. This ranges from environmentally friendly measures to social engagement and fair business practices. In the area of sustainability, this includes resource-saving production and the use of renewable energies. Social engagement through the support of local projects/associations. Ethical business practices are reflected in fair working conditions, transparent supply chains, and long-term business relationships. Overall, the QS, UM, and AS certifications cover parts of these aspects, and for this reason, we have decided to simply discontinue this external (and in some cases duplicate) certification and thus put the SA8000 certification on standby.
