SA 8000 - Social Accountability
SA 8000 is a standard for manufacturers, retailers, suppliers and other organizations that supports the enforcement of employment rights, working conditions and human rights throughout the entire supply chain. It is a way of controlling and influencing the social consequences of decisions and actions. Since certain basic conditions need to be documented the standard also creates a platform where interested parties (employees, neighbours, the general public, official bodies etc.) can check that the guidelines and practices operated by a company comply with the standard. This ensures that Mattes & Ammann GmbH & Co. KG sets social interests at the heart of all its decision making processes.
